It’s the news we know thousands of you have been waiting for, which we were starting to think it was never going to happen! Just in case the whole thing slipped you by, here’s the fantastic news straight from the (proverbial) horse’s mouth:
“Virtual DJ is proud to announce official integration with Denon DJ controllers. Featuring full-colour moving waveforms, familiar touch screen gestures, OLED FX feedback, and a multi-view interface. The unique Virtual DJ desktop experience is now controllable with Engine OS 1.5.1 on selected Denon DJ products, including the SC6000, SC6000M, X1800, X1850, SC5000, SC5000M, prime 2 and prime 4.” – Virtual DJ
That’s right – the long-await collaboration between Virtual DJ and Denon has finally happened. Confirmed in a joint release by the two brands, the software’s newest build Virtual DJ 2021 – is now compatible with the Prime 4, Prime 2, SC6000/M and SC5000/M.
We can only assume that the project was put on hold due to the COVID-19 outbreak, as it was back in April that we were promised something big within a month. Still, better late than never – it’s here and it’s already making big waves in amateur and pro DJ circles alike.
The Biggest and Best Build to Date
“Virtual DJ 2021 uses advanced technology and the power of modern computers to revolutionize what DJs can do. With this new version you can mix in real-time the various components of your tracks (vocals, instruments, kicks, hihats, etc). This opens the door to new ways of mixing that were simply not possible before, and will forever change the way DJs mix. With real-time stem separation on any track, perfect live mashups and seamless transitions are now the new normal.” – Virtual DJ
By a clear mile, the 2002 version of Virtual DJ is the biggest and best build to date. 100% free for the vast majority of DJs to use, Virtual DJ is an advanced music-making software package with a feature-packed but totally accessible interface.
It’s basically a case of leveraging the power of your PC (or laptop) to do things you’d otherwise never be capable of. Seamless control, streamlined integration and a whole host of cool features to play with.
There’s a paid ‘Pro’ version of Virtual DJ available, but the free version is more than enough for most.
The World’s Most Popular DJ Software
“With more than 122 million downloads, Virtual DJ is by far the most used DJ software on the planet. Ask around, most DJs are familiar with Virtual DJ and likely have used Virtual DJ at some point. No matter if you are a beginner or an accomplished DJ, Virtual DJ will always provide you with the latest cutting-edge features, which will help you mix better, and give you an advantage. The professional press is unanimous: Virtual DJ keeps pioneering the DJ world by introducing features years before the competition, with new technologies that will shape the DJing world of tomorrow.” – Virtual DJ
Powerful, popular and perfectly simple to use, Virtual DJ is designed to improve on the basic software most controllers ship with. Denon being the latest brand to get the full Virtual DJ treatment, after what at least felt like an eternity.
